’70s Inspired

TOP: Savoir Faire | BAG: Vintage Coach | SHOES: Maven | DENIM: Masons | RINGS & WATCH: Blakeman’s Fine Jewelry | NECKLACE: Mae’s Emporium

Some days I just have the urge to wear crop tops, wide leg denim, and stacked heels.  This look has been a go to of mine for many years now, and it doesn’t seem to be going out of style any time soon.  I love wide leg denim for teaching because I can dress it up and get away with breaking the no jeans rule.  I love paring it with shorter tops, and wedges or heels are a must so the looseness of the pants doesn’t make me look (or feel) too frumpy.

Another thing I am loving about this outfit is the significance of the pieces.  It seems to me that most things in my closet have some memory associated with them, but the vintage locket and multi colored crop top are especially special.  The locket has an “SM” on it and was gifted to me by my dear friend Mollie before my wedding last summer.  She found it at the most wonderful vintage jewelry store, Mae’s Emporium. The SM doubles for Susan Moore (my old middle name) or Susan and Miles (my husband’s name). The crop top was gifted to me by my sweet sister-in-law and brother for Christmas.  They found it at one of my favorite local stores, Savoir Faire.

There’s something great about wearing outfits that bring back vintage feel and lots of memories. Happy hump day!

Until next time,
